Tutoring
I am currently available to take on new students! I specialize in secondary math (Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry), Calculus, and SAT preparation (for Math and English Language), but I have experience in many other areas. Please reach out to me via email to discuss the needs of you or your student.

Teaching philosophy
My dedication to math, science, and education and my interest in their intersection have been defining aspects of both my academic and personal life. I think it is the job of the teacher, especially those teaching the teenage and pre-teen levels, to take the time to understand their students and adapt the lesson plans to best suit them. I take this in my stride especially when tutoring, as I am able to work one-on-one with students and adapt my teaching style and educational materials to their needs.
Beyond just teaching, I find that it is especially important with one-on-one tutoring to build a relationship with the student. I find that students are more willing to ask questions, make mistakes, and engage with the material when they feel comfortable with me.
My Services
I first like to schedule a free initial consultation directly with the student to assess their needs, iron out scheduling, and prepare for our first session together. In the first couple of sessions I will be assessing in more detail their learning style. After that, the sessions are more focused on keeping up with content presented in class (and clarifying confusion if it comes up), working on extra practice problems to solidify understanding, and preparing for exams.
I usually ask that the student sends me coursework as they receive it (homework, practice problems, study guides) or that they give me access to their google classroom or other online classwork interface so that I can see exactly what is being assessed and focused on by the teacher.
I am happy to assign homework for the student, outside of their normal classwork, in order to get more practice, but that will depend on the workload of the student otherwise. If interested, I am also happy to send a biweekly report on how the student is doing in sessions to their parent or guardian. However, most of my clients forgo this for frequent communication via Whatsapp.
I have a 24-hour cancellation policy for sessions. I reserve the right to invoice for the whole session if it was missed, cancelled, or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice. That being said, I am usually pretty flexible with rescheduling sessions. I understand that things come up, and I try not to use this policy.
Subjects I teach
Experience tutoring
I started tutoring in 2021 in the subjects of Geometry, Algebra, Chemistry, Calculus, and Biology, all at the high-school level. I since then have worked at two independent tutoring companies, Varsity Tutors (Collegeville, PA) and Liberty Tutoring (Montreal, QC), as well as two on-site educational institutions, MJ Test Prep (Bryn Mawr, PA) and Project HOME (Philadelphia, PA). Through this work, I have taught and tutored in the subjects of elementary Math and English language, SAT Math and English Language, Calculus I and II, and university-level Physics. I also have experience tutoring for French language learners, and I speak it fluently.

Free online materials I recommend for students outside of tutoring sessions.
